Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneux, former Bob’s Burgers writers, helm the third Deadpool film, possibly introducing the X-Men indirectly. Deadpool’s meta-awareness could lead him to unravel a reality-altering event, seeking Vanessa or realizing her absence. Development began in 2021, with an R-rating confirmed by Feige. Shawn Levy directs, with Reynolds, Reese, and Wernick returning. Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfayden join, alongside familiar faces like Rob Delany and Jennifer Garner.

AGATHA: DARKHOLD DIARIES (SERIES)

The series brings back Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, the friendly witch. She’ll likely have to escape her nosy neighbor persona and regain her powers for another showdown with Wanda. There’s speculation it might introduce the villain Mephisto. Jac Schaeffer, from WandaVision, leads the writing. The show draws inspiration from character-focused spinoffs like Rhoda and Frasier. Feige announced the series title at Comic-Con 2022.
Emma Caulfield and Aubrey Plaza join the cast, along with others like Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone. Trey Sartorius plays a character named “Nate Richards,” possibly crucial to the Multiverse Saga. The show’s subtitle changed to Darkhold Diaries.
IRONHEART (SERIES)

In a recent update on the Riri Williams series, it was noted, “Riri Williams, portrayed by Dominque Thorne, is a brilliant robotics prodigy in Marvel comics. She creates an advanced suit of armor surpassing Tony Stark’s technology, facing off against his adversaries. Chinaka Hodge, a poet and Snowpiercer veteran, leads as head writer and executive producer since April 2021. Anthony Ramos joins the cast in a mysterious role compared to Loki’s debut, alongside Lyric Ross as Riri’s best friend.”
The update continued, “Ryan Coogler’s Proximity production company, Angela Barnes, and Sam Bailey direct. Manny Montana, Shea Couleé, and Alden Ehrenreich join the cast. Originally filmed, the series might release in 2024 or possibly 2025 due to production pacing changes by Disney and Marvel. Anji White also joins the cast in June 2023.”
DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (SERIES)

After Charlie Cox’s hint about his character post-Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel Studios confirmed a Daredevil series for Disney+. Executives Matt Corman and Chris Ord helm the show, blending a fresh take on Daredevil while honoring the Netflix series. Cox returns as Matt Murdoch, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, and Wilson Bethel won’t reprise their roles. The 18-episode series, announced at Comic-Con 2022, introduces Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, and Sandrine Holt.
Jon Bernthal reportedly returns as The Punisher. Production faced setbacks due to strikes but resumed with changes to the writing and directing teams. Dario Scardapane now leads the writing, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing. Despite alterations, the series is confirmed for a second season.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD (2025)

In a recent interview, Anthony Mackie shared, “I’m really enthusiastic about the direction of the upcoming fourth Captain America film. Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson have been doing great work on the script following The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Stepping into Sam Wilson’s role in a post-Blip world is a fascinating journey.” Director Julius Onah, announced in July 2022, provided more details during Comic-Con, stating, “‘Brave New World’ is the title, and we’re aiming for a July 2025 release following production adjustments due to the 2023 strikes. Tim Blake Nelson returns as The Leader, with Harrison Ford taking over as Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, now the President, and Liv Tyler reprising her role as Betty Ross.”
THUNDERBOLTS (2025)

Deadline announced in June 2022 that Jake Schreier, known for Robot & Frank, will direct a Thunderbolts film, surprising fans. Eric Pearson initially wrote the script, but Beef creator Lee Sung Jin took over in March 2023. The Thunderbolts is a story of villains posing as heroes. The cast will feature Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine, Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko).
Harrison Ford is reprising his role as Ross. Ayo Edebiri and Steven Yeun joined in January 2023, but later departed due to conflicts, replaced by Lewis Pullman and Geraldine Viswanathan. Originally set for December 2024, the film was delayed to July 2025 due to industry strikes. In February 2024, it shifted to a May 2025 release, swapping with Fantastic Four.
THE FANTASTIC FOUR (2025)

At the 2019 Comic-Con, Feige hinted at the eventual inclusion of the Fantastic Four and mutants in the MCU. The focus, however, seemed to be on introducing Marvel’s first family, possibly in a 1960s setting, acknowledging their absence until now. In December 2020, Jon Watts was set to direct, but departed in April 2022, amid speculation about John Krasinski’s involvement. Matt Shakman was later confirmed as director at D23 Expo, with Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer writing the script.
Josh Friedman joined for a new draft in March 2022. Pedro Pascal was announced as Reed Richards in November 2023, with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach completing the team. Filming is slated to begin this summer.
BLADE (2025)

In a recent interview, Mahershala Ali expressed his excitement about joining the MCU as Blade, a role that was announced by Kevin Feige at the 2019 Comic-Con. Ali highlighted the addition of Stacy Osei-Kuffour as the writer and Feige’s confirmation of the film’s PG-13 rating. He also mentioned that Bassam Tariq was initially set to direct, with Delroy Lindo joining the cast in November 2021, sparking speculation about Lindo potentially playing Blade’s mentor. Ali was enthusiastic about Aaron Pierre’s casting in February 2022. Despite Tariq’s departure in Fall 2022, which caused delays, Ali showed confidence in Yann Demange taking over as director and Michael Starrbury’s work on rewriting the script.
Mia Goth joined in April 2023, followed by Nic Pizzolatto as writer. Production was expected to begin in May but was hindered by the Writers’ Guild strike. After the strikes resolved, Disney rescheduled Blade for a November 2025 release.
